This course is for personnel who work or manage wind turbines and need to develop or practice their emergency planning. The courses are designed to cover the development of emergency and rescue plans, including equipment selection and inspection use of tools and liaison with the emergency services.

We can provide a range of options from:

	Nacelle Rescue
	Tower Rescues
	Hub Rescues
	Major on site incidents including local emergency services and/or media

To give operational personnel practical experience of:

	Assessing access suitability
	Casualty care
	Choosing a safe rescue route
	Hazard assessment
	Likely injuries in work at height
	Suitability of anchorages
	Dangers of suspension trauma
	Liaison with the emergency services
	How to develop a site specific emergency plan
	Media liaison

The event is co-ordinated by Stephen O’Neill who has 8 years experience of UK wind farms and has facilitated emergency exercises for some of the UK’s leading Renewable businesses.

All courses will be supervised by BWEA approved working at height instructors.
